During the last month I’ve spent quite a bit of my spare time working on the engine for the little game I have in my mind. I have codenamed it after the name of my WoW guild, Anathema. Here’s the first screenshot of it. Not much to see as I’m still working on the framework of the game and there’s not much going on. I think it could be of interest to know that today I’ve discovered that my game engine design is very similar to the one used by Epic Games’ Unreal Engine. Of course mine is a lot simpler, but the basic concepts of Actors, Pawns and Controllers are all there. And the same can be said for the event triggering system.
